BIBFRAME is a bibliographic framework and open standard that provides a flexible way for libraries to describe and link resources using the Resource Description Framework (RDF). BIBFRAME allows libraries to manage and share their bibliographic data and unlike MARC it can support more comprehensive discovery of resources through enabling the use of linked data. Watch the Library of Congress share examples of how an institution can start using BIBFRAME through a hybrid environment of MARC and BIBFRAME (including in FOLIO) in their quarterly update.
